We currently offer 2 room size options:
20 ft x 8 ft or the more compact 10 ft x 8 ft
Unfortunately we are currently unable to offer 40 ft x 8 ft due to workshop size limitations.
Shipping containers a very easy to transport. The simplest way to move them would be with a HIAB (crane) equipped wagon. In most instances this would be sufficient to get your container from A to B. If you require a larger lift i.e. over the top of a building then a mobile crane would then be required. In addition containers have fork lift pockets designed into their base, this enables them to be moved by fork lift truck or tele-handler. The average weight of a 20 ft x 8 ft converted unit is approximately 4 tonnes.
If you move house you can take your garden room with you this would not be an option with a wooden constructed shed type building.
Whilst timber built garden rooms can also be stylish and cheaper to construct there is no real comparison to a properly converted container. You can insulate them and fit nice windows and doors but you would never achieve the results that you get from a solid steel shelled building. There are massive advantages in strength, sound insulation & thermal properties not to mention how long they will last. And a big bonus of course if you were to move house you could take the whole thing with you !
